As the Sommelier at Harvester Kitchen, Ashley brings a rich background in culinary and hospitality management and a growing passion for the world of wine. Starting her career in culinary in Buffalo, NY, Ashley's journey took her from line and grill positions to her first kitchen management role, building a strong foundation in flavor and technique.
Her experience expanded as she moved into hotel and banquet management with Westin Hotels. After relocating to South Dakota, Ashley joined Harvester Kitchen. She initially felt the challenge of upscale dining but soon embraced its demands and artistry.
Her interest in wine took root as she stepped up to learn the role's nuances, captivated by the history, science, and agriculture involved in winemaking. She was especially drawn to the unique climates, soil types, and ancient traditions that shape each grape and bottle. This passion has flourished as she creates wine pairings for our multi-course menus, blending her culinary insights with the art of pairing.
With her Sommelier certification, Ashley brings a distinctive mix of culinary and wine expertise to Harvester Kitchen, enriching each guest's dining experience with thoughtful pairings and a warm, knowledgeable approach.
