Jim Entenman

Jim Entenman is a lifelong resident of the Sioux Falls area. He grew up in the north end, graduating from Washington Senior High School and attending Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD, majoring in history and political science. He is the oldest of eight brothers and sisters and spent his teenage years working with his dad in the family business. Jim is the founder/owner of J&L Harley-Davidson in Sioux Falls, SD, Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson in Watertown, SD, and Harley-Davidson of Fargo in Fargo, ND.
Jim served on the Sioux Falls City Council for many years and is an active member of the community. Jim’s philanthropic efforts have touched the lives of many. Due to the loss of his brother, Brian, Jim has continued to focus his support on the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that supports children and their families who struggle with severe illness. Twenty-four years ago, the Entenman Family created the legacy event, Hot Harley Nights, and has raised over $3 million for Make-A-Wish of South Dakota.
Jim believes in continually giving back to the community and currently serves on the boards of Sanford USD Medical Center, Make-A-Wish of SD/MT, and Emily’s Hope. In the past, he was an active board member of the Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau (past president), Make-A-Wish South Dakota (past president), the Sioux Falls Sports Authority, Sanford Board of Trustees, the Sioux Empire Red Cross Development Board, the Governor’s Tourism Advisory Board and the South Dakota Auto Dealers Board.
Jim and his wife, Jill, have three children and six grandchildren. Jim enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding motorcycles, hunting, boating, fishing, and fantastic dining experiences.
